BTC Group celebrates 40 years

Team BTC

On Saturday, July 1,  BTC Group celebrated its 40th anniversary in style with a day at the Windsor Racecourse.

The team was treated to the full hospitality experience within the Club Enclosure overlooking the winning post, enjoying an impressive after dinner speech by Peter Beirne, who set up the company in 1977 with business partner and brother-in-law Frank Murphy.

Mr Murphy said: “One of BTC Group’s most treasured achievements over the last 40 years is the particularly low turnover of staff, with a good percentage of the workforce being part of team BTC for over a decade, and in some cases over two. In fact, we now have a combined experience of over 600 years.”

The festivities continued into the evening with team BTC participating in some intense dance battles accompanied by Vernon Kay on the decks.

Jon Birrell, marketing director, added: “40 years is a great milestone for team BTC. Back in 1977, in a world where fax machines were a game changer and mobile phones were science fiction, who knew that one day we would be asked to produce a promo product that would be blasted into space with Tim Peake, taking branded merchandise to the final frontier.”

BTC Group looks forward to celebrating its half century in just 10 years’ time and can’t wait to see what the future brings.
