Australia’s number one water-based screen printing ink

Permaset Metallic Copper

Screen printers worldwide are celebrating the unique Permaset water-based ink range which is manufactured in Australia and used all over the world. Permaset is particularly well-known for its safe-to-use/eco-friendly formulation, creamy consistency, ease of use, delivery of vibrant long-lasting colour on fabrics, soft handle on garments and comfort for the wearer.

Colormaker Industries Australia manufactures this premium quality range of water-based printing inks. They are available in the Permaset Aqua, Permatone, and Permaprint Premium ranges. These revolutionary ink ranges are distributed through Steve Wood Services in the UK.

Permatone is a colour management set of textile printing inks designed for colour matching. The system can produce over 950 colours, with hundreds more colours currently under development. Permatone has been granted approval by the Soil Association in the UK, having successfully met the requirements of the Global Organic Textiles Standards (GOTS) for non-organic chemical inputs for use in organic textile processing.  If you’re looking to print organically, then this is the ink for you.

Permatone inks are 100% solvent free, delivering really pure, vibrant colour, an exceptionally superior soft handle and excellent durability. As such these inks are excellent for printing organic garments, children’s clothes, underwear, swimwear and any apparel or homewares products coming into contact with delicate skin.

Many screen printing inks would completely destroy the organic integrity that would otherwise accrue from printing on organic fabrics. So, if you’re screen printing organic fabrics or garments, then it makes sense to have them printed with an Organic Approved ink such as Permatone.

Permaset Aqua textile screen printing inks includes both Standard (transparent) and SuperCover (opaque) ranges together with four metallic and four process colours (CMYK) plus a range of ancillaries. Both ranges include eight Glow fluorescent colours and a Print Paste.

This 100% solvent free range is environmentally friendly and vegan friendly. The pigments provide intense, vibrant colour, rich in coverage and deliver exceptional colour yield. They offer excellent rub, wash and dry-cleaning resistance, and good to exceptional light-fastness.  The Standard range is used for printing onto light fabrics whilst the Supercover range is used for printing on dark.

Permaset SuperCover colours are specifically designed to provide excellent coverage and opacity on dark fabrics, including black T shirts. Permaset Supercover inks can be printed straight onto dark fabrics and do not require an under base.

Permaprint Premium is a range of water-based inks suited to screen printing on sealed paper, cardboard, Tyvek, polyesters (Mylar), polycarbonates (Lexan), some coated metals and poly-styrene. These inks are specifically developed for printing posters, hand printed wallpaper, art reproduction, stickers and backlit display and offer outstanding archival properties.
